It runs but I had instances of it falling over on me. 7.6.1 on the other
hand is more solid and not much slower. Shame it needs a clean ROM....

OS 7.5 was radically re written to better take advantage of PPC stuff. I
suspect the flaws in 7.5.3/5 that are not so apparent in 7.6.1 are due
to duff PPC code. I don't know why that would affect a 68k Mac but it
may be to do with it leaking PPC code into the 68k system, which would
instantly crash a 68k machine as it'd just go 'you what yo hey pardon'
and fall over. Only a theory, probably unlikely but you know what they
say about 'the crazy ones'.
