Hi, I have recently got OS8.0 for my quadra 800.
However, it has developed an odd habit of "rebooting the desktop". After I have been using it for about five minutes, it starts to get tired, and if I do anything involving the finder (e.g open a folder), it tries to do it, then all my icons and open folders disappear from the desktop, then reappear a second or two later. Once this starts, I can't do anything - and if there are many folders open, it then tires itself out reopening them, and I'm stuck in a loop. This never happened with 7.5. I have a new PRAM battery, and 32MB Ram, which gives me plenty spare after the OS8 system has loaded. Any ideas? Also, I have found that trying to force my quadra to reboot with a three finger salute doesn't work - if it crashes I nearly always need to kill the power. Any ideas on that one?
