I have suffered a similar symptom when trying to shut my 840av down in OS 8.1. It is seemingly the opposite to you problem, it's too persistent! When I shut it down with a few Apps running the finder closes, then re-opens, then closes, then reopens ad infinitum. I have to force reset it in the end. -- -- Mark Benson Any spelling errors are attributed to PEBKAC SilValleyPirate - AIM silicon_valley_pirate_uk - Yahoo!
