Aw, come on, Pickle! Don't leave me hanging! Then how does one get a Q630 get connected via ethernet? <grin>
Seriously, I should have realized the Quadra 630 is similar to the Performa 636 ... from what it says on LEM, he'd definitely need to dump the 68LC040 for a full 68040 to use NetBSD/Mac 68k (and patch "current" for IDE drive support, if he wants to use the internal IDE drive; it'd be easier to install on an external or internal SCSI drive ... since this machine has a SCSI CD-ROM, it should have an internal SCSI connector, right?). Couldn't this machine use an LC ethernet card to get connected under NetBSD? I don't know about the comm slot ethernet support under NetBSD ... anyone else? Might be time to find another Quadra instead (unless you have a cabinet of parts you've collected, a bad mainboard from a true 68040 Mac, and plenty of time to kill).
