Thanks so much for everyone's replies... Yes, the current AOL disk has a version for 68k macs. My friend who I passed my Quadra 630 on to just got an aol disk today and installed it no problem. The first disk she got would not work, must have been damaged or corrupt because the second try worked a charm.
One problem though, when she tries to go on to her old hotmail account, she is unable to get in because of a security certificate error, due to the older browser version. Haven't spent much time fiddling with that... she just installed the aol tonight. Any one run into this problem and have any advice? A HUGE thank you for the info on the Comm Slot I Ethernet Card!!!! I knew there were several unused slots in there... (duh) This will allow her to hook up to the broadband with her house mates when it is hooked up to the house next month. I am going to check with a local source first and if no luck will go to Olde-mac-milt :-) So...excuse my ignorance but... what could she use that PCI slot for? What a wealth of information, and something that felt so puzzling now is clear as a bell! Sure wish I knew about the board when **I** was still using my Quadra!!!!!! :-D Susan >Hi everyone, > >I know I said in my last post, "Avoid AOL."
