What is unclear - for a contributor - at the moment?
Oh, and that wasn't meant to be a rhetorical question.
One of Lou's emails summarized a few points :
1. no ability to predict when the next release with*any* fixes will be
available
2. lack of an active (rolling) development/integration master branch
3. lack of visibility and transparency in the integration and release
process
I don't want to underestimate what you have been doing to maintain the
project.
I think you and other maintainers including the wider community have
been doing a
pretty good job to keep moving forward. I appreciate the recent big push
with proposed 8 as I indicated before.
Having said that, I also think that the development cycle has been slow
for the last few years
since I joined this list at least. To say that the current situation is
caused by Cumulus take-3, or Donald for that matter,
is not exactly true and unfair to Donald in my opinion. He has been very
active since he joined and very involved
in submitting and reviewing patches in addition to engaging with
contributes.
Let us move forward and not continue to be distracted by finger
pointing. We all like to see progress.
Regards,
Jafar
