Half the problem with bigger brakes is you need bigger wheels, which then make the brakes looks not so big anymore. I had a convo with a mate about the fact I was buying 15" wheels a few years ago - he was shocked and asked why I didn't buy 18" etc... 15" look perfect on a 2+2 (IMHO). 16" wheels with standard discs would look a bit, well, er, small! My drums on the back looked pretty pathetic, so I cleaned them up and painted them hammerite black - they totally disappear now - so they don't look at all out of place unless you realise something is missing and really look again. In fact I'd recommend the black paint to anyone who didn't fancy expensive mods. (Pick red/blue/yellow paint finish and a large number of people _will_ laugh at you).
