Mondeo Estate (Mk1 I guess) cross bar attached to 25*25*8 mm angle iron on both the underside and inside the boot for reinforcement using 3 off M8 bolts each side for attachment. The square section hitch pole fits inside two "ears" welded to the underside of the crossbar. This started as Mondeo but I changed it for Fiat X19 as this was slightly lower to suit my new trailer. The whole thing fits inside the rear bumper and does not reduce ground clearance. I actually found the towbar in the local tip and caught it before it hit the heap! Very simple, VERY strong, very neat, if slightly heavy!

When I took the H4 demo out for a test drive my father asked Mark if a towbar could be fitted and I'm pretty certain that Mark said that if you wanted to tow something then they'd steer you towards the 2+2. Having said that, I think that Hamish has a towbar on his H4 so he might be able to provide more guidance.
