Bit of a strange one, most faults with the clutch system give you
problems getting into gear because of the clutch not fully disengaging,
not because of it slipping.
Though you did say on the Tuesday it wouldn't go into gear, but yet it's
slipping...
I bought a Mk3 Fiesta once that a garage had told the owner it needed a
new gearbox but all it was was the clutch lever had cracked and bent.
But that again would disengage.

As Tony says unless the adjust is somehow keeping too much tension on
the cable.

One though, did you (you or a garage ?) change the release bearing as a
set with the clutch ?
If not, it could be a mismatch between normal lift release bearing and a
low lift clutch cover.

Theres nothing inside the gearbox that could slip, if something stripped
it's splines it would go and thats it.

Unless you have a LSD ?
