Hiya folks
I have the 2+2 (Red Round Headlight) with XR2 1989 engine.
The Master Brake Cylinder has started to weep 'somewhere', so I need
to fit a new one.
I have purchased a new unit off eBay, and it is the Cast Iron version
- the listing gave a fairly comprehensive list of the Fiesta it will
fit, and 1989 XR2 was listed (Twice!), so bought it quick before
anyone else grabbed it.

I have now looked at the car, and the Haynes/Autodata book, and it
looks slightly different... The unit on the car looks like the piccie
9.6 (XR2 early 1986 on) Pressed Steel(?), whereas the purchased unit
looks something like 9.9 (Levering off the housing)
Does anyone know if the items are interchangeable?
Quantum sell a part as below - do I need to buy one of these as well?
 * - R217 Brake Master Cylinder Adaptor plate/ (Cast Iron to Steel
type) Master Cyl

Best regards
James T
