I've been amazingly lucky and won a set of Cat Cams via a competition
in Complete Kit Car.
Apparently it's worth about £400, so I'm just a tad ecstatic.

Anyway, they arrived last week, look awesome, but I'm not totally sure
that they're the right ones for my engine.

The engine is a 2.0 Zetec Blacktop, from a Mondeo, same model as used
in the Focus.
>From when I did the cambelt a couple of months ago, I seem to recall
that the cam sprockets are held in place only by a centre bolt which
presses them onto a taper. Nothing to stop them slipping around apart
from the taper.

These cams seem to have a roll pin pressed into the sprocket end,
which I don't remember from doing the belt change. I must admit, I
didn't dismantle the engine much more than adjusting the sprockets by
loosening this bolt, so I could easily have missed something.

Have I missed something, or are they the wrong item?

I've tried the cat-cams website, but unfortunately this particular kit
number isn't shown.
And all my Mondeo Haynes manuals are for the Diesel or the S1/S2
Silvertop engines.

I'll put a pic up on the group in a few minutes to show the offending
roll pin.

Does anybody have a pic of the end of the camshafts on the Blacktop?

Cheers,
   TonyV.
