quantum is now rewired, (a large part of the front and some of the rear) some of the vehicle electrics for the engine under the bonnet were in a rough way and needed to be done. the car had the engine removed when i bought it but the coil was still in place and still wired in........incorrectly, the connections were the opposite way round, it still ran but the Tacho didn't work, it was fault finding this that lead me to the problem on the coil. car runs better now as well starting is much easier. DOH! should have checked when the engine was fitted, not much else was right on this car. I fitted a new speedo cable and the speedo worked for all of 10 miniutes and packed in, so the dash has to come out again. only thing to still do is to bleed the brakes, and raise the seats about an inch as they are low and the wife wont drive the car with the seats so low. but only the brakes for the MOT.
