I did the round trip, got the bracket (scrapman gave it me for free).
Got home, took the old bracket off, removed the crank sensor, noticed
the spacer.

Without the spacer, the crank mounting brackets are identical and the
sensor is in the right place. Doh!

A lesson for me, and hopefully a useful tip for the one or two others
who are also considering the swap.

Incidentally, the engine the parts (flywheel, bracket) came from is
also an Endura DE (I hadn't been allowed out back to look at it
yesterday).
I wasn't sure whether the smaller flywheel would affect driveability,
but now I'm feeling a bit more confident that all will be fine.

I've also bought a new clutch to go on, the odd thing being that the
only clutch the autofactors could find which fitted was shown on their
catalogues as being for a 1600 petrol. Still, that should tie in OK
with the gearbox.
