Quick Google suggests that some owners have had problems in the colder
weather and some have commented about excessive valve seat wear.

Check with your converter as to whether or not he will fit hardened valve
seats as part of the conversion and or any additional lubrication.

I'm a bit surprised that there is a valve seat problem since revised seats
have been used to cope with unleaded fuel.

Before the Focus came on the market many fleet operators ran Transits on
lpg and Ford's industrial engine division must have had the know how to
prepare engines for use with lpg.

In cold weather the lpg system depends on heat from the coolant to prevent
freezing. In some cases owners problems were traced to switching to lpg too
soon or running with a lower level of coolant than was needed.

The topic has been raised on petroheads and the Honest John site (linked
with the Daily Telegraph's motoring correspondent)
