I am fairly sure that at one time or another club members have had lpg
conversions done on saloon/coupe, 2+2 and H4 's

The price you quote seems to accord with other offers I have seen in the
past.

Unless you are advised otherwise by members with actual experience I think
that the best way of estimating the saving is to assume that the fuel
consumption on gas will increase by 10% eg 40 mpg on petrol equals 36 mpg on
gas
 then do your pricing eg 4.5 litres lpg at 80 p.per litre = 360 p or 10p
per mile

If you have good sources of supply local to year and most of your driving
is within a small radius you might find it worthwhile to use a small lpg
tank and to rely on petrol for long journeys where lpg might be harder to
find. On the other hand if the source of lpg is inconvenient or distant the
use of the largest lpg tank would be favourite.

The converter should supply with an insurance certificate on the
installation but it might be wise to check with the insurer you use for the H4
to
make sure that they are happy about the possibility of a conversion.

It might also be worth asking other uses of lpg to see if they have found
that it takes longer to refuel with lpg or whether they often have to wait
in line for the lpg 'pump' on forecourts.
