I hope you are going to go back to the garage that changed the master cylinder and let them know what the fault really was.

    the pads back so that when you want to brake the master cylinder
    has to fill the space left in the caliper before pushing on to the
    disc.
    It is common when racing and on track days (I actually make
    Dolomite vented brake kits because their brakes are awful) to have
    to pump the brakes as you go down a straight after severe
    cornering. MX5 calipers have little springs fitted to push the
    pads back on to the disc (cunning Japs).
    Oh well we all live and learn and sometimes we forget what we have
    learnt, of course some just live.

                        You can't repair servos, they are crimped
                        together, you need to replace it.

                        You can (or used to) be able to buy seal only
                        or seals and piston kits to
                        repair the master cylinder.
