Pick a turbo from a car with same engine size and similar power output to your target.
I'm using a focus RS turbo on a 2.0 zetec and it's fine for 250 bhp. No lag, no wait, instant insane power. I'm sure there is more than 1.0 bar boost but reputedly the zetec valve springs can't take any more.
