Hi,

Yes modified clutch. Uprated one to fit with the fiesta box (actually an
escort box). I can't remember all the details but assume you are using a
type 9 so no point in me digging out the part numbers.

Any reason for the external waste gate other than space for the turbo? It
might make exhaust plumbing more complicated.

I'm also using a spacer plate - the thickest one possible from Ferriday. I
think it was 2.5mm. Gave comp of around about 8:1. Works fine and honestly
no noticeable difference between that and when I used forged pistons with a
slightly higher ratio. Jim may remember the exact details.

Why do you not like water intercooling? I used one of these >
http://www.chargecooler.co.uk/ it's not a great deal larger than the charge
pipe so it all fits really nicely. Only a small water rad is then needed.
If you did decide to use one of these, pleae don't use that website - I had
all sorts of issues with the supplier (tell you if you are interested)

For my pics just go to www.wastell.eu, you should find the link to the
original dyno plot quite easily, that was on the engine with twin cats
etc... At a guess I'm up to 250bhp now, and the torque I would say is
higher but flatter, certainly 0.4 bar boost feels like .9 used to. :)

Right guys
Here's all the areas being addressed.
Turbo about 0.42 A/R on turbine to minimise lag; external wastegate, will
sit high towards top of engine bay. Unfortunately space is a problem due to
Raceline water rail and alternator on exhaust side, may have to move
alternator/ auxiliary pulley.
Exhaust manifold, making myself, currently drawing up on CAD. To be
fabricated in 45mm stainless Cylinder head. Will gas flow and port etc
myself, spacer to be used to drop compression. Haven't done the calcs yet
for thickness, will probably go Ferriday.
Oil feed. Flow off the pressure switch, return to be drilled into the block
above oil level, minimum 13mm diameter, ideally higher.
Vent in bonnett onto turbo to help cooling, outlet vents on side near
scuttle.
Intercooler exact position to be determined and a problem to get one large
enough, hence the bonnet vent. Don't want to use water cooler.
Installation may be similar to Quantum Mark's supercharged version, but
ideally I would need a larger intercooler for turbo.
Blow off valve on air intake after intercooler.
Heavy duty clutch, exact one not yet addressed. May try a similar route to
Jim's.
Depending on turbo type may not have water cooling, jury out on this.

Matthew, couldn't access the web link you provided, did try. Itried direct
link and cut and pasting the address. Did you modify the clutch on yours.

Think thats about everything.
