Hi and Happy New Year to one and all. I'm after a bit of advice regarding coolant pipework on my 2+2.
I have a problem whereby I cannot seam to get any real heat into the cabin through the heater. (I've had this problem for several years but it's finally got to the top of the list of jobs!) I have flushed the system out thoroughly and have just replaced the thermostat which opens as it should. I think I have traced the problem to the short hose which is connected to the "Y" Piece and goes over the large metal bar and onto the top of the heater matrix connection on the bulkhead. I think the rubber hose has seen better days and is simply not allowing enough hot water to pass through it into the heater matrix. I have started looking for a replacement hose but am struggling to find one - Does anybody know where I can get one from / what the correct name for this small pipe is? Also, as I have a manual choke on my carb, can anyone advise if I still need to retain the hot water supply to the bottom of the carb (Weber VV), or can I simply remove this pipe and therefore get rid of the "Y" piece also? Many thanks for your help. Cheers, Keith -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
