Just to update on the Question from Omar about my Mk1 that I had. I had to leave the business unit last year due to lack of work. Because of this, I very sadly had to sell the Mk1 on. It was not a desision that I wanted to take but was forced on me. The person who bought the car with good intentions now wants to sell it on as he has to much work on to complete the rebuild. The sad thing about this car having an uncertain future is that it was the second demonstrator to the factory. It was built with an RS turbo engine, now long gone and needs replacing. The car was taken to Mira with a kit car magazine and was proved to top 150mph!!! I personally put together a full portfolio on the car with many magazine and news paper reports etc. I am not certain but a freind of the seller has told me that the seller wants a very high price and that if he does not get it, the car will probably be cut up. Unfortunately he believes that the history makes the car far more valuable. This may be true for a very rare, recognised main stream classic, but not a kit car. To say I am gutted does not even get close.
