Dear All,

Just thinking out aloud about the saloon Rear Screen heater. Mine has voltage
at the connectors and resistance of 1.4 K Ohms across the screen. But it does
not seem to de-mist at all. I thought one connector was damaged and repaired
it. Is it possible that a repair can ‘connect’ and test OK but not ‘CONNECT’
and carry current? Thoughts anyone.

In general the pattern of de-mister conductors is designed for a hatch tailgate
with a section for the rear wiper and large areas you want in the saloon are
uncovered. I was thinking of an alternative anyway. How about an aftermarket
adhesive old style heater for the screen? I have fitted one in the dim and
distant past and it did work. Not very subtle though. Possibly electric fan
heaters fitted blowing up the screen as a solution? Any experiences/ideas
anyone?

Derek
