I have had two failures on 18x-LVC with fw 3.00. Both died on the night to 2009.07.03, sitting on the same windowsill. They were on separate supplies and pieces of equipment. Neither had data nor PPS output afterwards. I cracked the first one open, destroying the enclosure in the process, and discharged the battery completely. After power on it came up, and worked perfectly. I then repeated the process on the second unit, this time without destroying the enclosure, with good results.
