Mine hasn't been used continuously for a while but was working
ok last I tried. Due to problems interfacing my Conrad module via
usb-serial converter (it's very erratic at best or plain just
doesn't work), I decided to buffer the radioclocks, GPS18X-LVC and
BR304 via 1488 ttl to rs232. The +/-10V converter chips I ordered
didn't arrive and reverted to short lead time, so I'll have to test
with supply from bench psu.

Whilst seeming to work ok with serial port on the server, failure
with usb-serial has made me suspicious that pull down on ttl
outputs may be marginal and real rs232 levels might give improved
timings, and 30 pence for the buffers seems a good precaution.

Did you try an additional pullup to +5V just in case it's was
internal one that's blown.

David
