Hello Lionel -

The downloader is not yet integrated in the new chart program, you still have
to use the old program.

This is just charting at this time, the new scans and system testing will come
a little later.

You can open the index list, double click on an index, and it will create a
list that contains all of the components of the index. You can drag an index
with components to an open list to replace the current list.

This currently works in the Index view, I'll add it to the IRL view also.

You can double click a list to open it in a workspace that contains a chart,
list and browser. You can drag and drop it onto the list to replace the current
list.

As I said, this is rough, but now new features can be added and released
quickly.

Here is a link to a pdf file that contains the documentation for the new
programming language:

http://www.qp2.com/TradeScript.pdf

or

http://www.qp2b.com/TradeScript.pdf

or

http://www.stocksthatrock.com/TradeScript.pdf

I have licensed this language and will have a faily simple implementation
integrated within a week or so. You will be able to do all kinds of things that
are impossible now - system testing, create unique indicators etc.

I want feedback from users as to what they would like to see, with this new
framework, many things can be implemented quickly.

This will evolve into a modern system testing application that reflectes the
input of the user base.

Here are a few things on the todo list - system testing, scanning, real time
data from Interactive brokers, group statistics - A/D, bullish percents, etc.

So, please let me know what you want to see.

Best regards,

Gary Lyben

  Gary:

The new charts are very attractive.

  1. How do I update the data?

  2. How do I create new lists/scans and how do I update existing ones?

  3. Are there any new programming changes?

  Regards,

  Lionel

  Hi

That mesage just means that you didn't download the entire file. It should
be about 2.3 meg, if not, then try one of these other links:

  www.greatstocks.org/setup.exe

  www.stocksthatrock.com/setup.exe

  www.qp2b.com/setup.exe

  www.qp2.com/setup.exe

These are at 4 different sites, in 4 different parts of the country.
Hopefully, one of them will work for you.

  Best regards,

  Gary Lyben

  Gary,
When I access the beta setup, it fails with an error message saying "Failed
  to read setup engine."
I have downloaded and saved the file a couple of times, no luck. Also tried
to Run rather than Save, same results. Am I doing something wrong, or is it
  a "Beta Bug"?

  All -

I'm happy to announce the start of a beta for our new charting software.
This is a significant change from the current software.

It uses a modern gui with docking/floating windows, multiple charts/lists
open at once, many new indicators, enhanced list support, etc.

This is the first step in a total rewrite of all of our software, the next
step will be a full featured system tester for developing trading systems.
That component should be ready for testing in a few weeks.

The software can be downloaded from this url:

  http://www.qp2. <http://www.qp2.com/setup.exe> com/setup.exe

The install program is about 2.3 meg, and will install the new chart
software when you run it. It will not write over anything you currently have
your existing data, programs, lists etc. will not be touched.

This is a beta, it has some rough spots like what's a help file?

I'll answer any question on this list, and should get some screen shots and
  documentation out soon.

  Happy trades,

  Gary Lyben
