greetings It is exciting for me to be able to join the list and share my help or advice, provided I have been using qws for quite some time and use it for much of my songwriting projects (with an emphasis on latin music). I am actually attempting to create midi files for notation and find the quantise length tool extremely useful for such purpose. However, finale seems to interact in a rather strange manner when i attempt to set key signatures for a midi import. Is there any way to set the key signature so that finale will use the file's key signature instead of do this manually? Naturally finale will keep asking for the key signature and then somehow crash (at least on this machine). i ahve researched much of the midi specifications and such to get any informatoin but it still seems that there's nothing (within my understanding) that can be used as "system exclusive" to set these up. According to what i had read, the key signatures all concist of a number between minus seven (seven flats), 0 (no flats or sharps) and seven (all seven sharps) and an additional column to set the major (0) or minor (1) modes, although by the use of the flats or sharps it should be infered that the key is major or minor, so i don't see how this second "optional flag" use would help. For now the important thing is to get a metadata message (sysex maybe?) on qws which allows me to set the key signature for a song. The options for a new event include time signature but not key signature. Any help on this is very much apreciated
