Hi everyone Instats is pleased to be offering a 3-day workshop, Vector Generalized Linear and Additive Models <https://instats.org/seminar/vector-generalized-linear-and-additive-m3>, running Feb 12 - 14 by professor Thomas Yee -- author of the VGAM package for R. This workshop explores the cutting-edge VGLM/VGAM framework, which extends traditional GLMs and GAMs to model multivariate responses and complex nonlinear relationships. Participants will learn how to handle count and categorical data, address overdispersion and excess zeros, and apply advanced techniques like GAITD regression and reduced-rank VGLMs in an intuitive R framework. The seminar combines theoretical insights with hands-on applications in R, equipping researchers with flexible tools for complex data analysis across social, health, and natural sciences.
