Dear all,
We’re excited to announce a new online course: Applied Bayesian Modelling with
R-INLA: A Hands-on Introduction
Dates: online, 27–31 October

Daily live sessions: 14:00–18:00 CET

This four-day course offers a practical and accessible introduction to Bayesian
modelling using R-INLA. Starting from the basics of Bayesian inference, the
course explores the INLA methodology and its advantages over traditional MCMC
methods, with a focus on latent Gaussian models.

Participants will learn to fit and interpret a variety of models — including
linear models, GLMs, GAMs, and GLMMs — using INLA. Emphasis is placed on
hands-on exercises and working with the inla model object to extract,
summarise, and visualise posterior distributions.

This course is ideal for students, researchers, data scientists, and applied
statisticians who are new to INLA or seeking a deeper understanding. No prior
experience with Bayesian statistics is required.
