[Neil]
DEVOTED's run was huge too. Although knocked sideways at the 300m by
GIJ, he made ground strongly when rebalanced to finish 3.4 lengths from
RECURRING. This race was a prime example of why I detest investing in races
less than 1400m.

[Neil] Beautiful track drying day in Auckland,
Trevor, so no worries on the weather front. The forecast for tomorrow is also
good.

[Neil] $2.75 is a shade disappointing, but as you say the
field doesn't have a lot of depth. I'll wait 'til raceday, but the current
odds maybe too short for my liking in the big field. She'll need to win
this comfortably if she's to be a Doncaster hopeful.
I'll have another crack at the pregnant LASHED in
the Zabeel Classic. But whether or not she can give ST REIMS a start and a
beating under WFA conditions is debatable. The one barrier draw must be used
to advantage if she's to run him down.
Regards
Neil
