I am guilty of this myself. When a black person commits an atrocity, such as rioting or gang violence, I want to understand why. What are the sociological and economic drivers that contribute to their misbehavior? When a white person commits an atrocity against blacks, I simply condemn them as a racist. I don’t feel the need to ask why.
