@toby10 -- glad to hear of your experience, that's encouraging. @TonyT -- Unfortunately, I was wrong about the alarm. I *thought* I had set the alarm to play "Current Playlist" but, in fact, I must have had it set to play one of the inbuilt alarms (Barn Fire, I think). This morning, upon awakening to the same tone, I realized my error. I fear that means that I, too, have no back-up sound. Will try to test that today by setting an alarm and taking down my wireless router, and will post the results.
