I initially had problems with the alarm reliability. I was using one of the sound effects (which actually require access to mysqueezebox.com), and the alarm would fail to sound 1-2x per week (out of 5). I run SBS on a local server 24/7, and never directly connect to mysqueezebox.com. When the alarm failed to sound, the display acted as if it WAS working (I would see the dialog to "Snooze" or turn-off the alarm), but no sound. I have since changed my alarm sound to a file stored on my server, and haven't had an alarm fail to sound in a month or so. I also know there is active development in trying to make the Radio alarm more reliable... there are a few bug reports, with some activity, and also one of the forum members has tried to help the development of more robust alarms as well.
