In general, sounds like a good idea to me.
But as per previous post, I contend that the Snooze-menu is completely
redundant, counter-intuitive and more hassle than its worth (even for us
snoozers).

How about the config option simply swapping the button functions:
* I'm a snoozer:  Wheel=Snooze,    Volume-dial=Alarm-off
* Non-snoozers:   Wheel=Alarm-off, Volume-dial=Snooze
