Yes, there are several built in clocks -- which essentially are screen
savers. From page 16 of this document:

Select Screensavers and Wallpaper

Available screensavers include different clock formats. You can also
opt for no screensaver at all, or choose to download
photos as your screensavers. Certain apps, when installed, will provide
additional screensaver options.
To change your screensaver settings:
1. From the home menu, go to Settings > Screen > Screensavers.
2. Select screensavers for when a song is playing, when it is stopped,
and when it is off.
a. Scroll to the screensaver you want and select it.
b. Press the right arrow (Play button) to preview your screensaver.
3. Return to the Settings > Screen > Screensavers menu. Make your
selections for how much delay you would
like before the screensaver appears, and what size you would like for
your Now Playing artwork.

For your favorites, go to you computer and open up the web control for
squeezebox server. See if you can edit/add favorites there. Also, look
at the alarm settings. Also, check the "alarm clock" settings under
"extras" on squeezebox server as well. Perhaps you will see the
favorites option there for alarm sounds.
