@BonzoUK I am also a noob to the world of SB and I fully agree. It is disturbing to see that there are so many usability (and maybe some real, quality problems) as well. Though I love the device itself, I am not impressed with a) manual (which I normally don;t read, but in this case...) b) Logitech support (factory reset and re-install, etc.... not sufficient) c) usability of the device w.r.t. setup
Anyway, I still have two major issues with my radio and though I really like the device, I will consider returning it to the shop if Logitech does not step up their game. But enough complaining, back to your problem: Have you tried switching off AVG completely (just for a few minutes) to see if the SB works then ? In my case even that did not work... So maybe it's a driver issue (I also turned off FW, Anti-SPAM, etc.) - no luck.
