? A Battery powered Transporter would be perfect, just use the battery
pack from an electric forklift + an ups to power the rest of the
attached high end hifi :)

The controller has it own battery, which can be ordered if you can find
it.
(this is a mystery game invented by logitech sales, find the spares on
our site )

If you are not joking, please enlighten us what a battery would do for
a reciever, SB3 (classic), SB2, SB1, slimp3, Transporter .
And especially when they are not designed for it, that retrofit kit
would include soldering iron new pcb +charging components ;)

The Boom is not designed for battery use, this is the only other
product that could use one .Boom and radio is the only to remember next
alarm and have built in amp and speakers (theoretically one could use
controller as an alarm if you duct tape it to your head with the
internal speaker at one ear)

Main hifi: SB3 (soon to replaced by a Touch :) It is on preorder)
Bedroom/Office: Boom
Kitchen: Receiver (soon to be replaced by my SB3 and the SBR to be
stuffed in a box in the attic )
Miscellaneous use: Radio (battery pack to be ordered)
I use a Controller various ir-remotes and a Eee-PC with squeezeplay to
control this
