I believe the behavior was designed to increase battery run time between charges through full shut down after 20 minutes or so of inactivity. Personally, I like the idea. Less recharging and how hard is it to press the power button on the way to take the first morning leak? By the time one is done, the SB Radio should be all booted and ready to play. Of course the other solution to your specific concern is to move it from bedroom (plugged in) to bathroom (unplugged) and back to bedroom (plugged in) so that full shut down never happens. As for no outlets in the Head, how did you guys use electric shavers back in the day when they required a cord? Did one have to shave in the bedroom in front of the dresser or in the hallway at the makeup mirror? Woman have to use butane curling irons or blow dry their hair someplace else besides the bathroom? Back in the day before GFIs, the outlet used to be built into the vanity lighting above the mirror. Cords were required to be only long enough to reach ones neck when standing up.
