I wouldn't trust on this - the streams are buffered on the Radio, so
you won't realize when the connection shortly drops.
The log files are quite evident - your Radio thinks the connection
dropped (it had a timeout for one request) thats why it switches to
fallback alarm to prevent you from not getting up.

As for the other bug - I'd suggest opening a bug-report on bugzilla for
this. Remember to include all important information (playlists are
involved, mysqueezebox.com, your firmware version) and the things you
need to do to reproduce. 
Post the link here and other can try out your steps. They should then
vote and comment if they can reproduce it with the same steps.
