First, this is a Users Forum. Logitech doesn't take complaints here!
Second, its not Logitech's fault if you won't do what's needed to use
the alarm feature in the most reliable way. 

They didn't misrepresent their product. The only misrepresentation are
your misstatements!

No Squeezebox is advertised as an Alarm Clock. They have an alarm
Feature, and again, that is an alarm feature. And when "YOU" make it to
complicated or more complicated to use that 'Feature' it is of course
going to become less reliable.

I have been using a Boom for over 2 years as an alarm without issue. I
run a dedicated SBS Server, use a local tune for my wake-up song, and
have my Boom, Server, and Router all on UPSs.

In closing, if you bought your Squeezebox only to be a $200 alarm
clock, now who is doing the misrepresenting! Who with their faculties
in place pays $200 when all they need is a $12 alarm clock.
