Perhaps we are the verge of some progress toward a solution to the
firmware issue. I emailed tech support with the following message on
May 14:

"You need to fix the firmware version 7.5 quick. Very bad situation
with owners. It must be affecting your sales. You should review the
forum posts, review the posts left on your support site. 
Not sure why it is taking so long to respond to some very serious
issues."

After a few "back and forths", today I received the following:

"Hi xxx 

My latest meeting with Engineering left me with the impression that the
software should be ready for release this coming Monday. Whether or not
that means we'll be releasing it Monday, I cannot say, but it should be
finished its testing phase by then. I would say very soon.
