Think about the case where it's late at night and you want to set an alarm on the Radio. So you turn on the Radio to set the alarm, music comes on and wakes up your partner. Not too good.
Besides, you can easily set this to your preferences. Look on the SBS web ui under Settings > Player > [select player] > Audio > Power on Resume.
