Firewalls ?

Whats the ip off the squeezebox itself ?

192.168.1.139 Is(was) the serving PC then the Squeezebox should have
192.168.1.X where X is anything thats is not used by something else I
asume your router is 192.168.1.1 all subnets mask should be the same for
example 255.255.255.0 .

If you want your pc to show it's settings in more detail use a dos
prompt and "ipconfig" command .

Your wifi router does it have some kind of guest wifi network ? or do
you perhaps use two routers or a cable modem with ethernet where the PC
is conected and then a wifi router for wifi things ?

A common mistake with two routers is to hook up second routers wan to a
lan port on the first router thus creating a second network on router 2
,router 2 wan ip is lan ip on router 2 . You learn when you wonder why
you have to portforward in two places to make your torrents work ;)
Or a single port cable modem and forget to bridge it , or etc .There are
endless possibilities for weird network setup .

Your symptoms looks like the kind of trouble folk gets when the device
is not on the same network as the server , or when a firewall is
blocking things on the server .

Can you tell us bit more about how your network is wired together ? You
can have what looks like correct addresses and stuff and still have an
setup error ?

I don't have that much experience with multiple AP and stuff , small
apartment , others here have houses and possibly experience hooking up
more elaborate home lan .
