I'm fairly certain that is does not work that way with the Radio, Touch or Controller. Rereading the original post, the OP says he got it to work (although he doesn't know how), but then says his Radio is still at firmware 9557. So, apparently, the Radio did not update. To answer another question from the OP: The Touch, Radio and Controller firmwares are not included with any installation or upgrade of the server. The firmware files are considered too large to distribute as a part of the server software download, unlike those for the SB3, Transporter, etc, which are much smaller. The only way to get the latest firmware is to have the server (or player) go out on the internet and retrieve it. Or, as discussed above, you can manually download them and load them onto either the Touch or Controller by placing them on an SD card. Is there no way to connect the LMS _server_ to the internet, even if only temporarily? The players themselves don't need to be connected (but they do need to be connected to the server), since the server will retrieve the newest firmware and pass it to the players.
