Forgive my noob post please but Is eek advice. I bought a SB radio in 2009. ( I also have a SB receiver/controller.. never use the remote / controller once apps showed up). Anyway I woke up last night to my SB Radio making a ticking noise, just like a metronome, and the SB radio will not power up at all. I checked the DC adapter and its putting out 18V but the radio will not power on. When you hold down the power button it stops ticking only to start ticking again when you release the power button.
All that brings me to the question, any reason not to consider the Grace GDI-IRC6000 ? If this is a sinful question on the slimdevices board please forgive me. I just find the whole UE thing pathetic and want to explore alternatives.
