This is interesting: Logitech support sends out e-mails where they claim you can simply go back by doing a factory reset, the holding "<<" (not back, the rewind button) while it boots and then selecting the SB firmware.
The most interesting part about this is the fact that support knows about it :-).
This way of getting back to the last installed firmware has been there (and documented on the wiki afaik) ever since the Controller. Buttons have changed, but it's been a life saver for many of us... Which also means that once you've updated from one UE firmware to a more recent UE firmware, the SB firmware is gone. Only one previous copy survives.
