Sick of the drop-outs, loss of the server for days at a time and irregular alarm performance, I took the update path (not upgrade) this evening and found it very easy and satisfying. Apart from the new style user interface and slightly different menus, after reinstalling my presets and alarms, performance seems much the same. As I never used LMS anyway and only ever used the SBR as a bedside radio/alarm this update is academic and, if the online stories are to be believed, the UER should provide better overall reliability. Only time will tell.
