At the moment you need the iPengUE app if you want to get some kind of overview of the local music library. The same limitation also applies to online music by the way, while searching works it's almost impossible to browse a big online collection in Spotify or Deezer using Logitech's app. It's pretty clear to me that the Logitech's smartphone app is optimized for playing music through predefined favorites and for this it works great as long as you only have 10-20 favorites.
