I use two synced SB Radios, one L channel, one R channel, in a rec room. If your frame of reference is a single SB Radio, the sound improvement is pretty amazing.
AFAIK, this is an LMS only feature. Luckily I'm an LMS only user :) I would not call it a gimmicky feature, as posted up the thread, as I believe it was quite literally snuck into LMS by an unnamed engineer. Hidden feature would be a better description.
