This is my experience with two squeezebox radios sync'ed such that 1 is left and 1 is right.
Once a song has started, sync is always good, can not detect any drift, if there is drift or not, whether music is local on my server, or streaming youtube. But, going to next song is iffy. Most of the time starting a new song is fine, but sometimes they are out of sync, and when a song is out of sync, it can be by a partial second to more than 1 second. Once the two radios are out of sync, they will not resync, a manual intervention is required, which might be to restart the song, in that case sync'ing is back to great. I have been meaning to actually post a question here asking why do songs sometimes not start in sync.
