I have my music library served on a Synology box that sits outside my firewall. All this box does is serve media, so I'm not really worried about someone breaking in and downloading everything. However, I would like to password protect the Logitech media server so that random internet dude can't come along and mess with it easily. After applying a password, I can log into the server just fine in a web browser, but the Radio I use at home will no longer connect to it.
When I attempt to connect to my media library the Radio asks for a username. I put this in, press the knob, and it goes to a password entry. I enter this, press the knob again...and nothing. It just sits there and waits like it's expecting me to put something else into the device. Is there something I am missing here? I can block any addresses outside my local network, but I lose the ability to connect to the server outside my home. I also remember seeing some sort of password protect plugin, but I haven't located it yet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gryphraff's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59404 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=98396 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
