This is the original Baby Radio, bought right when they first came out,
US.

I was playing a podcast (via squeezebox.com, My Apps, Podcasts list)
that has been making the radio and/or the Boom go to sleep ("stopped")
after each 20 min chunk, and when I check the radio there is a message
that it was reset by the host (CBC), for a few weeks now.

Since I am used to getting it in chunks, I didn't worry when the audio
stopped playing today, while trying to catch the last part, from when it
ended while listening last night. I just go over and restart the
podcast, FF to where it was, and it continues.

Today, when I went over the radio to resume, none of the knobs did
anything and the screen did not wake up.

I tried Volume, Home, presets, back, etc. I unplugged it (no battery
pack) and plugged it in to force a reset, but am not getting the Logo
splash. I tried the "hold + and plug in" but, sadly, still nothing.

I thought it might be the wall wart (power converter), so I tested it
with a meter and it seems fine. It pushes onto the pin on the back of
radio very postively.

However, as soon as it is plugged in, there is a very faint but steady
ticking coming from the radio; steady at about 100 per minute (not quite
every half-second, but faster than every second). Like an old fashioned
clock circuit.

I have looked around the forum and don't see any comments regarding: if
there is an internal fuse? What tends to go wrong with these things,
that relates to not powering on?

I'm not afraid to take it apart to fix it; after all, it already isn't
working.

Thanks for any leads.
